Loudoun County Public Schools in Virginia took an “overly narrow view” of its Title IX responsibilities, according to the findings of a review of how the school system handled two in-school sexual assaults by the same student in 2021.A judge ruled that the report was to be made public Thursday, even after the school system argued it was covered under attorney-client privilege and should not be shared with the public. After the first sexual assault at Stone Bridge High School on May 28, 2021, the school system shouldn’t have delayed its Title IX complaint investigation, despite the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office suggesting it do so, the report said. The school system, according to the report, believed an agreement with law enforcement prevented it from launching its own investigation into the Stone Bridge sexual assault while the Sheriff’s Office looked into the case.Loudoun County schools, according to the report, also should have conducted a threat assessment...Imágenes satelitales muestran el antes y el después de las mortales inundaciones en Libia

DENVER (KDVR) — Congress has until the end of September to pass a funding measure in order to avoid a government shutdown. U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn called it "a 50-50 proposition.""Those that think they’re going to get something out of it (a shutdown), they’re going to be sadly mistaken," the Republican said this week on "Colorado Point of View." Neighbors said the incident on Lena Terrace happened just before 2 p.m. after a fire broke out at a nearby home. When firefighters arrived and opened a hydrant, something broke, sending water everywhere. “You couldn’t tell there was ground,” resident Tania Thompson told 7NEWS. “It just looked like a river.”Takiajh King, who lives in the area, said she looked out her window and saw the street was flooded. “I was like ‘Oh my god, there’s a river in the alley,” King said.King said several surrounding houses had damage after Thursday’s flooding. The street in the spot where a neighbor’s car was parked also cracked, according to King. The Boston Water and Sewer Commission didn’t have any information about what exactly happened in this incident, only saying there was some problem with the fire hydrant in the area.
