Published Mon, 23 Dec 2024 12:23:19 GMT
El Niño is back and, if forecasts are accurate, it should deliver above-normal temperatures and above-normal rain and snow to California. After years of back-to-back La Niña conditions, this winter will be the first in five years with an El Niño pattern in place. The last time we saw El Niño was in the winter of 2018 to 2019, and even that year's impact was substantially weaker than what we're seeing now. During an El Niño winter, the southern third to half of the United States, including California, tends to see wetter weather. (Exactly where that dividing line falls varies from year to year.)Meanwhile, the Pacific Northwest and parts of the Ohio Valley tend to be dry and warm. Hawaii also often sees below-average rain during an El Niño year. El Niño officially arrives early: What it means for California La Niña is basically the opposite: less rain or snow for the southern half of the country, and colder, wetter conditions in the Pacific Northwest. The influence of El Niño shows u...HEADING TO VEGAS for Formula 1 Weekend? Advancements in agriculture have moved at a slower pace than many other industries. Growers have traditionally taken their cues from nature, and when everyone else is doing it, or they are forced to, they finally evolve and adopt new technologies and better practices. One historic example was the advancement of machines over horses and mules. Many farmers avoided this change for years even though the animals consumed over 20% of the crops they helped cultivate and took twenty times longer to plant. But, by replacing horses with tractors, over time, they were able to raise their yields significantly and wondered why they didn’t do it sooner.Another example is irrigation. Year after year, farmers were at the mercy of Mother Nature. But rather than forward-thinking, it took severe droughts before they were convinced to adopt more reliable ways to get water to crops. The resistance to mechanical irrigation and other solutions has mirrored the farming industry’s hesitance to change ...Meet the Design Director Behind Reformation’s Sustainable Shoe Line

Published Mon, 23 Dec 2024 12:23:19 GMT
The clinical definition of a sexless marriage is one where you haven’t had sex in six months or more.I disagree. My definition of a sexless marriage is when your wife starts treating sex as a chore to tick off the to-do list. She’s doing it because she feels like she has to, rather than because she wants to.Let’s be honest guys – we don’t just want sex! We want love. We want emotional connection, respect, and a wife who adores us.As soon as passionate intimacy feels like a job for your wife, all of this disappears. And oftentimes, it is because she isn’t getting any of these things from you. She has put up a wall between the two of you – and no matter how much you talk, you can’t seem to get past it.I’ve been there. My wife Kathryn and I were stuck in an extremely toxic marriage for years. If I’m being honest, it was abusive in every way.My behavior and disrespect towards her caused her to completely check out. I belittled her daily and attacked who she was as a woman, wife, and moth...The Beloved Belle Vie Returns To The West Side And Chef Tony Nguyen to Crustacean – Here’s What’s Popping Up
