ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones has tested positive for COVID-19 and will follow precautionary measures for the next several days, according to the mayor's office. Jones tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from a conference visit in Baltimore on Tuesday night. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A new Missouri law authorizes the state to cover costs of highway memorial signs in honor of fallen first responders and service members killed in the line of duty. Prior to this year, families were billed for Missouri highway memorials that honored fallen veterans. Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signed Senate Bill 127 into action earlier this year, meaning the state will cover costs for highway memorials rather than families. Within the new law is the “FA Paul Akers, Junior, and LCPL Jared Schmitz Memorial Sign Funding Act,” which took effect in August. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A man was arrested and charged Tuesday for inappropriate contact with a minor. Cesar Sanchez, 36, was taken into custody after engaging in a chat online with a child he believed to be under the age of 15. In the chat, Sanchez also expressed his sexual desires for the minor. He was soon taken into custody after trying to meet with them at a mutual location. ‘Basketball Wives’ star Brittish Cierrah Williams sentenced to prison Sanchez was later charged with enticement or attempted enticement of a child, age misrepresentation with intent to solicit honor, and sexual 'sexual misconduct.' A man who was arrested for a home invasion in Studio City early Wednesday morning shouted “Free Palestine” as he was cuffed and placed in a police cruiser, video shows.The break-in happened around 5:20 a.m. in the 3000 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Police.
