ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — When Demetre Kokoris attended the University of South Carolina, he thought a career in the front office of baseball may be in the future. He worked as a student manager for the Gamecocks baseball team and hasn't looked back from the coaching route since."I started right away like 22, 23 years old as a grad assistant at Cal State Fullerton. Now I'm 39, turning 40 this year. WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. - Police are searching for two teenage girls who turned the city hall’s fountain into a bubble bath during last week's Fourth of July parade, causing property damage and costing taxpayers' money.A couple of hours before the city's annual Fourth of July parade, surveillance video showed two teenagers dropping laundry detergent into Webster Groves' city hall fountain."There were lots of bubbles,” said Dr. Marie Peoples, Webster Groves city manager. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - Police are investigating a stabbing incident in north St. Louis County Monday night.According to Adrian Washington of the St. Louis County Police Department, the call came in at 9 p.m.Upon arriving at the 1000 block of Spring Garden Drive, officers found a teen girl suffering from a puncture wound. Hot dogs on the run! This weekend dozens of dachshunds will be competing to be the fastest wiener dog in the west. Hundreds of pups are getting ready for the 24th annual Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals Los Alamitos race course in Cypress on July 20. Since 1996, the Wiener Nationals have raised nearly $300,000 for the Seal Beach Animal Care Center. “I’ve been coming to this race long before I ever even had a wiener dog and I dreamed of the day I would be able to come and run with my own, but I never thought I would actually have one,” said Kiley Majeski, wiener dog owner. “So, I love to support the Seal Beach Animal Hospital fundraiser. It's why I came almost every year.”In addition to supporting the Seal Beach Animal Hospital, the winning dog will also take home $1,000.
